Wondering if anyone has an idea whether singapore companies (especially IT) offer the flexibility for working mothers the option to work from home for a few hrs of the day?

Try IBM.. I know they allow working from home. Why not call the HR there and check if they can help you.
We'll get along fine as soon as you realize I'm Good.

It all depends on what position you are holding in that company. Working from home is ideal, but not applying in Singapore..
