Bringing alcohol into the airport

Post by Kimi » Wed, 06 Jul 2005 7:13 am

Never done it...
Bought some bottles here and am going to bring to Japan to give to friends.
I guess Singapore customs or such are ok with this kind of thing?

I don't think they care... I've brought a bottle in several times. If you can find the stuff you want to bring at the duty free store it will be much cheaper than walking in the front door with it. Be sure that you know how much alcohol you can bring into Japan. It is fairly universal that it is one liter of spirits or a bottle of wine, although Singapore lets you bring in both.

I assume it would be fine on the Singapore side but as for the Japan side, 1 person is allowed upto 3 bottles (regardless of what kind of beveys it is) where 1 bottle is considered to be approx. 760cc.

Have fun back in Japan Kimi :)
