Depends on where you're eating, if you're looking for dirt cheap, the can get a meal for about $3-$5 in most Food Courts, even cheaper in the Hawkercentres / Coffee shops. As for eating out at restaurants anywhere between $30-$100+ for two not including alcohol...

Not all food courts have dimsums. Some hawker centres do. More prominent ones would be Tiong Bahru hawker centre.

But if you want to enjoy your dimsum with a greater variety, then be prepared to stretch your wallet to dine at restaurants. A meal there can cost up to $20-30.

And if you're really a big eater who needs double portions of everything, then a decent meal would cost $10 in food courts and even in hawker centres. Because Asians tend to be slightly smaller eaters, our servings are small too. I'm a simple eater, female too, but sometimes I find the servings provided by food courts/hawker centres are really pathetic. Especially rice dishes.

LOTS of rice but very little meat and vegetables.
