Cabin crew opening

I was sooo surprised to know that there are many gals like me out there inside this forum hoping to be cabin crew...

i went for SQ interview 2yrs back, i think it's the so-called 1st interview conducted after 911 incident. guess wat, i was 158cm when i measured during my poly days.. but i was told to leave cos they has me measured as 156cm! : so demoralising...

recently, i had a frd whom is 157cm and got in to emirates. i've also heard that emirates are not the strict with height. cos as long as u can reach 212cm using tip-toes, u are safe... juz need to stretch a bit (which i think we will, based on the will power we had )

i'm waiting for the emirates opening to come. i heard qatar will be conducting their interivew soon too. well, no harm giving a try. rite? even if i'm going to fail again this time during the height measurement, at least i know i've tried...

Is their pay really higher than Emirates? When did your friend's gf get in QR? Is it in the singapore recruitment? How long did she work for them?

yes, higher... it was like 2yrs ago.. the recruitment was in singapore. she only worked for like 2 months. but hey b4 that she was working for united airline as cabin crew.

why does ur friend can't stand living there? is it very boring living in the middle east? and does the pay really higher than emirates, cos i heard that emirates is like paying a lot more than SQ.

But I received a lot of resistance from my parent, they do not even allow me to apply, my look is sweet according to most of my friends and my height and build are all meeting the requirements.

According to my parent, there are a lot of unseen ugly thing going on behind the scence, thier mixed around and have sex with pilot or other male steward, somethimes they have to work for special delivery services in foreign land just to satisfied their materialistic needs.

can anyone who are ex airline crew tell me are these story true? My parent think so.

Even if the above mentioned events are true, it really boils down to individuals? I have friends whom are in SQ and aren't behaving like what you have mentioned or quoted by your parents? Realistically speaking, I don't think you're matured enough yet to handle the pressure of the job from the question you have posed. For the benefit of yourself, get a couple years of working experience before attempting to be a cabin crew? Though it's not a definite must but I think you need to learn more about events in life and be a bit more independent? Just my 2 cents worth here!
