Looking for rental accomodation somewhere near Orchard Road

Hi,

I am planning to come to singapore for work.

The stay would be around 6 months.

Can anyone guide on how much would be the accomodation cost &
per month expenses including food & travel. I am currently a bachelor.

My work location is on Orchard Road.

Hi,

I currently stay at Novena. Taking cab to Orchard is only $4-$6 (wo and with surcharge). Taking MRT is only $0.80 per trip.

So, try to stay near town.

Food is at least $4-$6 (wo and with drinks) at food court and around $15-$30 at normal restuarants.

Accomodation near town is at least $500 but you get to save on transport.

newton and novena - near orchard rd and very accessible to MRT (subway).

in fact the only decent district near orchard rd that is near the MRT.

river valley is fine as well but it isn't near the MRT.

But if you're asking if I can get you a place to stay, then sorry no.

BTW, your budget does not allow you to live in either Novena or Newton. Or even River Valley or Bukit Timah for that matter.

That budget is way too low for the Orchard area. Apts start at $2000 near Orchard Road and thats if you are lucky. You will have to stay in a HDB flat (government housing). They are actually very nice. Try in Holland village or Farrer Road which is 10 minutes from Orchard.
