Post by coming_from_india » Sun, 03 Jul 2005 5:57 am

HI,

I have agreed upon relocating to singapore on package of 2750$ per month + 450 $ shift allowances + 200 $ variable allowances + 15$/hr overtime allowance.

Please let me know the cost of living and saving as per the above package..

you can try renting a room for about $400 a mth,
check if your Co. sponsers you a car or do you need to take public transport.
with about 3k i'll say you won't have problems staying in singapore.

There are very good food stores that are rather cheap too...
So i think its a rather good choice to relocate, you'll get lots of experience too... Gd to build your experience in a foriegn country...

you can e-mail me at onnebsel@hotmail.com,
will be glad to share more experience in Singapore.

thanks

Thanks Buddy

depends upon what you want to eat. Singapore is a food Heaven. you can get all types of food. In serangoon road which is also known as little india you can eat till you are full for as little as S$3.50 but it depends on where you are working or staying. you could stay in a room with a indian family and sometimes you could even get food provided by the family if they have a live in maid.
