On average, normal crew (not incharge), whether O level or degree holder will get about $1.6k pay every month before CPF deductions. That includes the (very little) comission u get from sales, and basic and flight allowance, and if you work 150 hours minimum.[/quote]
That's indeed very very little pay.... Gulp!

Yeah coz according to them, people who work on ground for 150 hours also get about that amount. *roll eyes*

Hi collen
I thought they are only in the discussion stage to merge with Valuair? And yesterday, there was news that they Valuair has also spoken to AirAsia about merger talks... so I dun tink anything is really confirmed between Jetstar Asia and Valuair yet...
Moreover, Jetstar Asia will soon fly to India, that's probably why they are recruiting more crew too... So just be patient ok?

hi, u still can fly. even SIA, they did recruited 29 years old new stewardess, and 29 is the max. age. but of course, u must not look too old...
my friend met some new trainees in SIA who are age 26-29, and some of the girls tried for 8-10 times b4 getting in.
so just give it a try! u never know! =)

Hi gals...Im gelly... I called up Jetstar HR dept yesterday...I asked them for the interview dates for those who are shortlisted...They replied that they are not recruiting at the moment and hence there will be no interview arrange for those who are shortlisted...Guess we will just have to wait...Do you gals agree with me that they should at least send us an email to inform us about this, rather than keep us waiting...?
Be cool gals...

Hi Gelly,
Guess the HR dept must be too busy over the merger issue. Lots of things to handle, can't blame them.
Thanks to info provided by Jas, there's gonna be a walk-in interview for Emirates on 30th July at Grand Copthorne Hotel from 9am onwards. Perhaps you can consider and give it a try...

Hi kittybaby
min age depends very much on the airline that you're interested to join. Usually its above 18 or 21, it really depends. You may want to visit the various airlines' websites so that you know what's the criteria like.
