Working for Jetstar is not that great. I was from there and I quit coz team leaders are no good. The pay is no good. About 1.7k per month including commission and allowances whether u are grad or O level. and you have work minimum of 100hours to earn JUST the basic which is abt 750. U only earn allowances when u work more than 100 hours.

Was there a year and couldnt take it anymore. There are a few ex crew there and they used to tell me that Jetstar work is not FA, its just a waitress job, coz it doesnt let you have the FA lifestyle at all. Just go onboard, serve/sell, get down, go home. No diff from working in a restaurant. Even the pay is about the same.

the interview was great. we did a intro about ourself and we were given 5 Qs but can chooes oni 1 or 2, we nid 2 finish everything(tok about urself n the 2 Qs) up by 30sec. den aft dat we did a rollplay. dis rollplay will b divided into a smaller grp. dun worry about dis part cos it fun. den the 2nd round is the 1 to 1 interview dat part there's a nice lady she'll b asking you sum Qs like tell me about urself, ur family, werk n so on. anyway i juz rvc a kol frm them saying dat i got thru the final interview. but im still tinking about it tho. queenie did said dat we mayb doing sum paper werk. i'll guess i'll juz gotta find dis out myself. :-| anyway good luck wif ur decision. hope u make the rite choice. hehe.

4 silkair, i guess its a confirm 18/08 interview but not too sure wer tho juz gotta check out there're website again n again. yah, i guess i'll be trying it out.

regarding the sponsorship of the Jestar Asia and the diploma scheme..

if you really really want to be an international flight attendant and willing to be based overseas, this programme is good for you as after the bond you can choose to go to an international airlines(not SIA) such as Emirates, China Airlines, Qatar, Gulf Air.

But it will benefit you after the 2.5 years as you will have a diploma, and 2.5 years of working experience being in a hopitality and travel industry. And when you work for Jestar, you can come home everynight, so no layovers. :D

abt 8 days off per month. Fly about 150 hours per month. Full service airline crew fly 80 hours-85 max. The bond was 5k for 1 year when I was there, but they might have increased. That was without this new diploma thing.
