they are not strict in hgt would be cos they are smaller aircrafts. no need to be 158cm in order to reach the compartment.

it was advertised in monster.com webstar sometime ago, what they doing now is shortlisting of the candidates.

Don think they are advertising right now, maybe u wanna try later?

Hi

Anyone attended the Jetstar interview today? How was it? Do you know whether you have gotten the job by the end of the interview? How was the interview like? What questions did they ask?

Hi shasha

That's was what I was thinking too, you travel to Taipei, but only in the airport, can't even leave the aircraft and got to go back already... Moreover the pay is low, and yes I know, there's no taxi allowance, that's why most crew take bus...

Still deciiding whether to go or not...

Interview

Hi ppl,

I went to the interview today...saw the other shortlisted people there and my first impression was wow...great contenders. A handful lot of handsome guys and pretty ladies...many had experience B4, either gone for other airline interviews b4 or worked with emirates, BA and Gulf Air previously. There were about 30 people for the interview. We were informed that actually they received 900 plus applications and we are lucky to be shortlisted. But after the first round, many were dropped including me. :( Only 5-6 people made it to the 2nd round.

They will do all the 3 stages on the same day. They will hand you a letter after each stage to tell you if you made it to the next round. Be prepared to stay for 5 hours there if you made it through all the stages. The last 4th stage will be on Friday where you get to meet the management.

Interviews include group activities and 1 to 1 interview. Not sure what they will do on second stage as I didnt make it thru. Only 1 guy made it thru. The rest are ladies. Even that he has someone working with jetstar Asia. :(
Many left dissappointed.

Your pay will be around $2300 when you reach your 12-18 month. Before that of course lower from $1600 up. And you will be going to HongKong for your practical lessons.

Haiz...I guess my hope to be an FA will remain as hopeful still for now...

Best of luck to all who are going for the interview 2morrow and Wednesday.

Hi ppl!

I attended today's interview @ 145opm. There were supposed to be 30 of us, but some din turn up. The oldest in the group is 35 yrs old; there are some who were ex-cabin crew (SQ, Emirates, JAL). Some are even mothers!

1st round was an intro of ourselves, why we wana join Jetstar etc etc. Then we were separated into 3 groups for role play. We were told of the shortlisted candidates to Round 2 on the spot. 10 of us got into 2nd round.

3rd round, theres a case studies test, followed by 5-10min interview with the HR exec. Usual questions asked would be

1) Why u wana join Jetstar?
2)If u mention u like to travel, she'll tell u that Jetstar does only turnaround flights.
3) Do u mind the low pay?

Btw, the basic is $710, This salary covers the 100 working hrs that u work. If u work more than 100 hrs, the remaining hrs would be $15/hr. Lets say if u work exceeding 50hrs, u'll get an extra allowances of $750. Therefore ur total pay would b $750 + $710 = $ 1460 (excluding cpf). Of course the interviewer mentioned that there are crew who clocks 200hrs. (btw MOM law states that the working hrs per week is 44hrs; anything beyond that would be OT).

Benefits include 30 days annual leave. There will be no bonus at all. Crew can work a 3-day pattern and rest 1 day; or 4-day pattern and rest 2 days. The bond is 12mths (excluding 6-week training; abt 4 days in HKG for aircraft training). If one breaks the bond it'll be $5K. After probation, basic pay will be $810.

During my interview, i was asked abt the pay. I told the interviewer frankly that the low pay will be one of the negative factor for me. Coz I've many commitments/ bills to pay, and its really a drastic cut on my current salary. So i guess thats why i was not shortlisted for the 3rd round on 2 Sept. Only 4 gals were shortlisted.

So thats all abt the interview. To those who'll be going tomorrow and Wed... all the best! :)
