I am planning to take up a permanent job in Singapore and wondering if any New Zealanders can share their experience regarding TAX
The NZ IRD's website states that you are considered a resident (and pay NZ tax on worldwide income) if you have "a permanent place of abode". I have a home which I plan to rent out on moving to Singapore.
Will I be a resident or non-resident ? Any people been in the same situation ? What means did the IRD use to evaluate your residency status for tax purposes ?
Any replies/tips appreciated ....
