net screening

I am concerned about my young kids exposed to all sorts of porn stuff through the net and chat rooms. Are thare any methods or software to block these site or for me to monitor the usage?

The most effective way is to put the computer in the kitchen or living area where you are present while they are on the computer. You can keep on eye on things.

There are several website blockers that get many but not all sex sites, and it is very difficult to block access to chat rooms... there are so many and many chat forums have both clean and not clean rooms. You really need to be able to monitor the chat conversation from time to time.

You might want to look into getting a keyboard logger so you can see what your kids are typing. Could be contrived as snooping but can be effective if you're worried about what they're looking at.
