Approached with move to Singapore

Hello, I need some advice from expats who move to Singapore. My company wants me to think about an open position which is a good career move. I've lived in several places in the States but never a change such as this (distance, culture). What advice can you give me on life in Singapore. I'm a 37 year old single male, so any persective on the dating life would be appreciated as well.

Do it. You're 37 and have never lived abroad - make the jump before you are too old. It will be a fun experience. Dating scene is good if you are attractive and in shape. If you are fat and ugly, well there are alternatives to conventional dating here that are much easier and less costly than in the US.

I am struck by your intelligent observations....

If one is 37 yeqars old and asked to move to the other part of the world, I guess it is not so much about "fun experiences", is it? One might consider things more serious, whether it is good for career on long term, missing friends and family, financial consequences etc.

Your remarks about dating are too ridiculous for discussing seriously here: what a pathetic posting mate...

The one specific aspect of life the original poster asked about was dating. So, I gave him the situation. I can't advise him about his career or family situation. Neither can you, judging by the total absence of helpful comments to him in your post.

So, what is your advice to him? Don't criticise if you don't have a solution. Mate.
