Headache after morning jogging

Post by first runner » Mon, 27 Jun 2005 11:02 pm

Recently i have started jogging every sat morning..
But most of the times i would experience a headache soon after the jogging...
Do anyone have the same symptoms as me?.. is there anything wrong with me?

I have once or twice after i ran. Its like something heavy up there in the head. I usualy will run slower and it will be gone after a while.

Try to go at a very slow pace first and then gradually increase the speed.

Hi, Runners
Have you consulted a Medical Doctor about your condition and have a medical check up? Your body could be telling you something is not quite right?
All the very best of Health to you.. take care

If you suspect the running, as started the headache, you need to go for a medical check up asp.

First Runner,

I had the same symtoms as the ones you described. For me the main causes were:

1) Insufficient hydration (drink water I mean)
2) the jogging method was incorrect.

If I'm not wrong, you bounce heavily when you jog. And your goal was to jog at the fastest possible pace and maintain it as long as you can. I would also think that your footwork needs correction.....

If you want we can meet and I can show you how I manage my jogging.

Yes. Uh_huh is rite
beside [ 1) Insufficient hydration (drink water I mean)
2) the jogging method was incorrect]

it might also cause by
3)anoxia, which is not Breathing enough when u r running.

or even 4)loss of salts as u lost salts in sweat. :o

its really best for u to consult a doctor or
maybe u could look for a gym personal trainer to do a correct jogging /gym workouts method .
i will recommand tis trainer to u
his name is gilbert...
email: bodytrex@mail2consultant.com

hope these could help u

hmm
1.drink enough water. ?
you mean i should drink more water before the morning jogging after i wake up?
2. jogging method?..hmm.. hmm maybe.. my foot is alittle pain some time

3. lack of salt? hmm.. i seldom sweat..
should have enough salt to *spare*..

will continue my jogging session sat... i really drag going.. especially most likely i will get a headache.. but... i aim to lose some weight through jogging exercise..
C how. Thanks.

It is most likely dehydration, most of us will wake up dehydrated after sleep, especially if you sleep in aircon. You should make sure you drink water before you go for a run, and perhaps carry a water bottle with you.

Other thing it couyld be is postural tension, if you carry a lot of tension in the shoulders and neck when you run, it could lead to a tension headache.

Or either too much sex or no sex at all.....

Or too tight underwear? You know, like when in school as a child. One outgrows the underwear but doesn't know it. And somehow in class, its always "Chicher, I can't do spelling, because I got headache".

If I was a teacher today, I'd tell the pesky kid to take off his briefs in the toilet... :P And lose my job.

Boy, was I a silly kid........
