I think it is for those who are in work permit...I couldn't find any guidelines / rules regarding DP holders not to give birth in singapore...appreciate if you give me more details...thks

You can definately have a baby on an EP/DP here. As for getting bubs visas, probably the best place to ask would be MOM as he/she will need a DP also. Their number is 6438-5122. Tip: their phone lines open at 8.30am. Call at 8.31 am or you will have a really hard time getting through. Good luck with your new arrival!

No problem giving birth here for wife with DP - birth certificate will be issued stating "not Singapore Citizen at birth". As soon as possible after the birth you need to lodge this with all appropriate application papers at your embassy to apply for a passport for your baby. Best to contact the embassy now to check the procedure, photo size requirements and what documents you'll need. When the passport is issued, apply for DP for the baby - shouldn't be a problem at all.

i've had my son here whilst on EP...
after birth, you have a week to register your baby on DP...costs about 60bucks plus GST if I can remember correctly

your baby will have the father's citizenship (if mum is not singaporean) but usually it is quite quick
one thing to remember, you've got to book a hospital beforehand (private one) with your singaporean obs/gynae

all the best...
