Housing dilemma

Post by chocoswiss » Fri, 24 Jun 2005 10:54 am

well i currently live in katong/marine parade area but my condo is havin an en-block sale so we have to move out..problem is that i will be going NUS come Aug [clemeti], my brother's school in Bishan n sisters's school in tanjong katong...
so itz like easty/westy/northy.... :?
considering a house near mrt, since i am a foreigner i think there are certain restrictions on hdb flats as compared to condo? plus i am not exactly floating in money so something not too expensive... and it will be rental... pool/bbq/gym are secondary things...safety n mrt wayy mroe important...any suggestion as to which area/condo would be suitable?? thnx!! :)

ps: i was not sure which forum to post this is as i am juz askin for advice, not advertising for rental yet...

First thing, is find out if you can get into HDB, enquire thro HDB housing? Then at least you will know what you can go for, HDB or private? Then seek out the route to meet your families needs. Find one which is cost effective and convenient, meet your budget. Hope this help and give you a lead to a solution.

Okay Ms. Rai, I think you should look into the Clementi/Ulu Pandan area. Try the HDB's in Clementi, there is no restriction for foreigners RENTING, only buying.

You never said what your budget was. If you want a three bedroom for under $2000, this area can ge good for you.
In Ulu Pandan, try Pandan Valley, Himiko Court, Cavendish Park or Ridgewood. You can take a shuttle bus to Buona Vista MRT or walk to Dover MRT if you like.

Condos in the Clementi area: Sunset Lodge, Clementi Park, Brookvale, and Freesia Woods.

Hi Chocoswiss,

Why use Picture of Ms World Aishwarya Rai instead of your picture?
