You may still have to pay tax, it is better to check, you could also end up in trouble, also

This is correct but you have to be attached to the Embassy and serving in an official capacity such as the US Embassy. If you are not make friends with someone who is and get them to buy for you. They also sell cheap alchohol as well.

I dun think safe to buy on line.. Those selling $55.00 per carton is also not safe.. They brought in from malaysia and is illegal . You will be caught if the cig you brought was not being tax. Best is follow the law especail is singaopore.
Why buy on line where you can get it anywhere in Singapore..
