Cell phone Deposit needed for EP holder?

Post by Guest » Wed, 22 Jun 2005 6:56 pm

I am a EP holder and would like to get a cell phone. Right now thinking of getting a two year contract with the starhub.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

I believe you do -- but if this is an issue, why not get a prepaid phone? No deposit, no signing up, no hassle. (And higher rates, but hey, you can't have everything...)

I just signed a 2 year contract with the starhub. Although their website requires EP holders to pay $200 Deposit, Some shops do it for you without deposit. However you need to bring Proof of billing (ROOM or Flat contract), Passport, EP.

With 2 years contract, you can get a phone for a really cheap price. I recommend signing a contract.
