i was wondering, does swimming actually help to lose weight?
when i went to sensualite, they adviced me not to swim throughout the treatment as it builds muscles, making me look bigger.
but when i consulted a medical doc, she said swimming 3 times a week for 30mins is a great way to lose weight.
which is it?
If sensualite advised you not to swim, it is because of their treatment, whatever that may be.
And you will not build muscle without proper diet, to supplement muscle growth.
You will however lose weight, the extra exercise will stimulate your metabolism to burn extra fuel, If you do not eat more food, the following will happen.
After approx 20 minutes you will have burned up the carbs from that days food, so with no energy from carbs, it will have to get the fuel from the fat reserve, problem is muscle which is built on proteins, are easier to break down, than the fat, So your muscle will actually get smaller, not bigger, without protein supplement.
You will have lost weight, but more muscle weight, than fat weight. and probably, that is why, they advise you not to swim, while on their treatment.
You can lose much weight by swimming 3 times a week for a whole year, but you must supplement your muscle with protien. Do not believe that muscle will turn to fat, it is not possible, FAT is FAT muscle is built on protiens.
When training stops, it is natural that muscles get smaller, and one puts on fat, because there is no exercise, to burn calories and keep in shape.
Remember carbs go to the fat depot, if you eat to much Rice ect, cut them down
