Restaurant ideas for a decent, delicious STEAK??

Post by Matney » Wed, 15 Jun 2005 6:26 pm

Sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm looking for suggestions for places that serve excellent, delicious steaks? Not Lawry's, been ripped off once, and not that good either. We haven't had a decent piece of beef in over 6 months, H-E-L-P!!!! Thanks!

Why don't you try the Brazil Churasci...(forgot the spelling) somewhere along 6th Avenue? They have so much meat!!!! Fantastic!

I second the suggestion of the Brazilian Churrascaria at 6th avenue.

Matney, I have seen a few postings of yours regarding good places for food. You definitely won't be disappointed at this one. The meat you will be served is as fresh as it can be, they probably slaughter the cows in the back of their kitchen

Serious: deliciosa!

and.... limitless quantities...

steak and meat

Agree with the previous posters on the Brazilian BBQ place for limitless supply of meat (very easy to over-eat there). They have a very good salad bar there to balance out your diet. And the grilled pineapples are wonderful.

Good pieces of steak are hard to come by in Singapore. Shashlik (sp?) in Far East Shopping Centre may be a good bet.

Try Naxos in China Central, they do a mean steak with pepper sauce mmm... Salvatore, the owner is a genuine italian who knows how to entertain people! They often have wine tasting evenings and stuff which are pretty good.

Hubby had read about this Brazilian place in the Business Times several weeks ago (?), but can anyone be more exact on the location or provide a phone number so we can make a reservation, please.
Thanks, 8)

make it 64631923 when calling them

And better reserve, couple of months ago there was a bit of a discussion going on about the restaurant. Someone without reservations (Chinese singaporean) came in and was told there was no space. 5 minutes later another caucasian man came in (happened to be related to the chinese singaporean) and was offered a table. Chinese singaporean complained this was racist, restaurant claimed it was because of sudden cancelation and thus a table was being offered to the caucasian as he came on the right time.

Whatever the case, better be safe than sorry; reserve a table

Have a good night out and enjoy the food!

Thanks for the address & phone number! I doubt we'll make it tomorrow for Father's Day, but definitely next week-end. I'll report back with our findings. I'm sure we'll be happy as Eric from the Netherlands has recommended it.

The place is ok for kids, meaning there is no extra facilities like a playground or any kid menu. But if the children can eat what is being served, they should be ok. You won't get stares or so.
