Suggestions reliable freight company - moving from Aus

Post by benjicon » Tue, 14 Jun 2005 9:32 am

Hi There ,

I know questions like this probably pop up dozens of times a month , so sorry if I missed any recent posts about the subject .

I'm moving over to Singapore from Sydeny Australia in about 4 weeks , and would appreciate it if anyone can suggest a good reliable freight company to move my personal effects over with , dont mind spending extra for safer more reliable co.

I dont have a lot to move , probably around 6 boxes , no furniture .

Thanks again .

Ben .

Welcome to Singapore!!

We moved here from Brisbane in December. We used Kent removals and they are partnered with KCDat here. I was very impressed with the professionalism from both companies. Good luck.

Hi there!
We have move to singapore twice now and both times used Kent. They were great, reliable and not too costly. We used Crown to move from the UK to Sydney and found them difficult to deal with when claiming for any breakages. Crown are also quite expensive!
Good luck! :D

It will be very expensive to move six boxes via a standard Moving Company, regardless of whether you do it by air or by sea.

You should get an idea of box dimensions and weight and check with DHL and/or UPS. Cheaper still, make sure you use boxes that are small enough to be accepted by the postal authorities and this will be the cheapest by far... you mind need to send more smaller boxes.
