You must make a number of posts before your PM capabilities are enabled. We do this to prevent spammers from simply registering, then immediately PM'ing everyone with spam.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Just keep posting as a member and all your PM functions will shortly be available.

hey,
in my humble opinion , i think this policy is really inconvenient....its like compelling ppl to post messages just for the heck of it ( to get their Pms and inboxes working)......i am not sure if this is a deterrent to spammers , rather to other innocent ppl even more ! :?:

Thank you for sharing your opinion. We had a problem with spammers registering then immediately spamming every person who posted. These people weren't here to post messages, they were here to spam. Since this policy has been initiated, we have had very few cases of PM spam. So, it does work.

Now, someone like you presumably has an interest in the board and will post responses in one or more forums. Very quickly, all the facilities will be available to you.

If you have a better idea as to how to control spammers, please do let us know. Meanwhile, enjoy the board, post to topics, and soon you'll have access to all the facilities.
