Where have all the cable cars gone?

Just been driving to the west coast, my kids noticed no cable cars could be seen, and the more intelligent eagle eyed one of them insisted that they were not around last week either.

Where have they gone??

Maintenance for a couple of months. The monorail on Sentosa is also not in use, but that's because they're building the new one.

[cables faulty?]

There was some question of a fault in the cable strands at a routine check a couple of weeks ago. Service is suspended for safety reasons until full check by the specialist cable co. Better safe than sorry. It has been widely reported in the newspapers.
