When I try to log into my messages it says "not authorised" even though I'm successfully logged in.
Can anyone suggest how to get around it?

You need to have a minimum number of posts before you can use the PM function.
This feature is to deter user from registering and then start spamming everyone about their products.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you tell us the number of posts needed before the PM function becomes available? I have a PM in my inbox but I am unable to read it which is quite fustrating.
Cheers.

Flora,
bea with it, it's for the benefits of the users to avoid spammers from soliciting. Doesn;t take much to become a regular yeah?

Enjoy your stay here.

I am also frustrated having registered and not being able to read a reply to my posting. If I read the thread of this lot it seems you have to have a minimum number of postings to read a private message. In my opinion this would encourage spamming and unwanted junk mail. I would welcome comments

I too am frustrated. There is also no notice to explain why I can't recieve or post messages. "Not Authorised" really is not useful.

It's claimed in one of the other similar threads that the mimimum number of posts needed to avoid that "not authorized" mess is 5... this is number 5 for me, so let's see if it works...

I also do, more than I'd like to admit. But we do catch 99% of them. (or more) ;)
