P1 or P2?

Hi to everybody,

now I'm also in Singapore, I started after checking out some apartments my first day to work here. I have seen the paper from MOM, and surprisengly there was a P2 on the paper, my question I had today to our HR was, why P2? and not P1.. Cause I'm above the minimum Salary that it need's for an P1... They couldnt answer that question... As well I asked what will be the disadvantage for P2, they couldn't answer me that as well..
Does anybody knows about that? I really appreciate ur answer....

One reason why u got P2 could be your HR stated a salary less than what you were actually earning when applying for your EP.

Or another reason could be your qualfiication or work experience.

I think the difference b.w P1 adn P2 may affect ur chances of getting your PR status when u eventually apply for one.
