My wife used to buy cut orchids from the small wet mkt at Holland Village. They are now under renovation and we do not know where to get similarly priced (very inexpensive) flowers. Anyone have any ideas? We live in the Grange Road area.

I would say any wet market in Singapore would have at least one stall, probably more, where you would be able to purchase cut flowers. Sometimes waiting until after lunch to purchase, results in cheaper flowers still! Good luck!

You can buy orchids for ex right outside of Tanglin Mall, they are about 1.40 SGD per each.

Thanks Vanyh - that is exactly what we did on Sunday after driving around to several wet mkts and coming up dry (or seeing poor quality dying flowers). The place we went to was the flower shop outside of Jasons where the orchids were $1.50/stem. Is there another place ''outside the mall''?

Maybe we talk about the same place, the one I had in mind is outside Tanglin mall, on Tanglin Road, next to the Tudor court and Pagoda House shop.
