Working and Pregnant

Post by jellyJ » Sat, 28 May 2005 1:47 pm

Hi there,
I am looking for some other mums-to-be that are also working full-time. I would like to make some new friends with other expectant mothers but all of the groups seem to meet during work hours. Any-one out there who knows of people and places to meet during the evenings or on weekends. Maybe to meet for healthy food or a nice relaxing bit of excecise. I live near Holland Village.

Also, I have heard that there is a store that sells second hand baby stuff (stollers, cots etc) somewhere near Tanglin Mall - but don't know the exact location - any more info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for any replies,
JellyJ.

not a preggie mum...

sorry, I'm not pregnant, but I know that it's really hard to meet other soon-to-be mums when you're working (even harder later when you're dragging another one along... )

Anyway, I found that yoga classes for preggie mums were great. There's bound to be something on at night - and the added benefit of "training" you for labour. I found it invaluable.

Hi,

I'm not expecting myself - but my wife is, in November. And she is trying to work as well. We live on the East Coast - Holland Village is 20 mins away and Rachel works in Robinson Rd so I'm sure you and she can figure out a time & place. Send me a message and we'll exchange contact details.

Look forward to hearing from you!

Second hand baby stuff.

There is a second hand baby shop is in Tanglin shopping centre. It's on one of the higher floors and if facing the shopping centre from Orchard Road - it would be to the far right hand side. If you can't find it then ask one of the other shop owners.

Good luck.

Our next weekend session will be held on 7th, 11:30 AM at Oasis Holistic on Selegie Road. See website at www.fourtrimesters.com

I hope you are still pregnant, if not congratulations!

Check this website http://www.moms4moms.org/

Maternity wear and kids stuff

Post by Karen Tan » Tue, 27 Sep 2005 5:10 pm

Hi,

I came across a shop called Maternity Exchange at Specialists' Shopping Centre that lets you buy, or rent maternity wear, and also purchase gently used maternity wear too. (www.maternityexchange.sg)

They have great stuff from US and UK too.

For second hand kids stuff. try www.babytown.com.sg. I think it is in Toa Payoh.

Happy Shopping and saving!
