ERP on CTE from 6-8pm - why do we need it?

It feels like a major punishment to live up North, you face 2 ERP gantries in the morning, and now, 1 in the evening.

The big problem - major HDB Housing estates are along the CTE- Braddell, Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio, Yishun, Sembawang, Sengkang, Punggol. But we only have one CTE. What other roads should we be using?? Shouldn't we get another CTE , then? Not ERP gantry?

Then HDBs flats shouldn't be built along these lines and thus contributing to the jams. More should have been built along the East and West sides of Singapore...
