Hi !!!
Does anybody know any good video shops in Singapore where you can rent out movies that are predominantly the latest releases from the States, UK and Europe..... in other words something like what we have in Sydney, Blockbuster, Video Easy etc...
I'm moving over to Singapore soon - and though I will get out and enjoy the nightlife - I've heard that television isn't great over there - so videos might be the next best thing !!
Any advice?
cheers !

Television rots your brain.
We have VideoEzy here too.
And DVDs.
And colour TV.

It might turn out to be an electrifying experience.
Depends on when you get here though.
Singapore has one of the highest thunderstorm occurrences in the world.

No problem renting most of the latest releases on dvd or vcd from Videoezy, which has a chain of shops across the island. Very little available on video, although there's a good video rental place in Tanglin Shopping Centre. Stocks mostly oldies and lots of european stuff. Some good tv series as well. YOu might also want to check out Starhub cable tv.

buzzgirl...just want to alert you the DVD you rent here in Singapore will be zone 3 unlike in Australia that will be zone 4. Any scene that are considered too violent or too sexually explicit will be likely to be censored here.

There's a videoezy on River Valley Road, on the Boon Tong Kee stretch of shops.
