Has anyone heard of Bluetooth?
Has anyone heard of Bluetooth wireless technology? I just bought it on my laptop and connected to my GPS. Now even during driving I can scan and switch the navigation windows on my laptop screen through the GPS on my hand! It rocks! I have no idea how it works! What can I do with it?
Has anyone heard of Bluetooth?
Hi. Let's assume this is a serious question (I'm struggling to believe anyone has -not- heard of Bluetooth
).
Many things you can do ... start with Bluetooth-enabled phone and bluetooth headset. This gives the same functions as having a cable earpiece on your mobile, except (a) there's no cable (duh!) and (b) your phone can be upto 10metres away, or in your backpack/briefcase etc.
Next, add a Bluetooth PDA to the mix... now, from your PDA you can easily pick a name from your contacts list, dial that number and talk (using the headset). You're using the phone, but you never actually touch it or even see it.
If your PC is bluetooth'd you can synchronise your email / address book to PDA and/or phone, probably use the phone as a modem, you can get bluetooth printer adapters so that you can print without cables...
Really, this is just the tip of the iceberg. The possiblities are endless. See also www.bluetooth.com
Good luck.
P.S. In fairness, some (potential) downsides are .. possible interference with other wireless devices.
