my advice 2 u is to stop the treatments and let your skin adjust back over time. from my experience. u may b sensitive to such treatment esp if u r the seneitive skin type. Sensitive skin tend to have 'thinner' skin, its best to avoid harsh treatments like microdermabrasion, IPL, etc..

I did it at a clinic, i guess mine is not suitable. BTW, how much you did yours? Now i don't intend to go bk. i thought of going to another skin doctor to clear my acne first.

You should stop the treatment, it appears your skin is to sensative. why not try health spar, sulpha bathing, not a pleasant smell, but is well known for skin treatment

i resently went to a doc clinic and had IPL treatment.. mainly for my acne problem. he sid it was using diff. frequency from the norm. jus for acne treatment.

Unlike the other norm IPL, no gel base was use. so the IPL was applied direct on skin. _ belive me was A LOT OF PAIN for 5 min.

Now as a result i have chacoal burn marks on the whole face....

anyone have can suggest what i can do?

Hi... Am i seeing things? Really got burn mark on face? I did heard that IPL will hurt the skin of those quite sensative and this really happened!!! I am now using LHE treatments and will not burn but had my facial hair removed.... Good for me cos my pores had tighten up, pimples dried up and skin tones have even out significantly juz after 1 treatment.... The rubber band type of feeling hit on face is not painful and can really see results....

Hope every1 can go to those with this latest treatments in town now rather than wasting time on IPL or other cheaper but ineffective machine....

Best of all..... i was recommended by a friend and went for a free skin analysis before getting the package where there are no hard selling nor pressure by the beautician..... The professionalism of the beautician makes me feels good and i am then willing to fork out the price for it....

Hope u can go for it too.....

regards
jason

my advise to do IPL or laser treatment is to consult qualified specialist as they will examine the suitability of your skins before recommending treatment. after consultation, there may not necessarily recommend IPL or laser. If there is any side effect due to sensitive skin issue, they are also in the better position to judge for alternative treatment.

Hi, Paraniad, how many session of IPL treatment you went?
I did twice for my freckles, and doctor dun advice me to go for the third session. The lighten freckles will not absorb much light, a waste.
Anyway i am doing my own microdermabrasion at home with a peeling kit to maintain the effect. It is good. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you interest with the same kit.
Thanks.

Both of this methods should be not done regular as these methods "remove" the first layer of our skin...therefore experiencing sensitivity is normal.. doing too much of these will be more harm than gd..

Hi, i have a difference opinion with wat you have quoted above.
Initially i also have the same thought as you. However i change my thinking after few consult with various doctors from hospital, not beautician at any salon and beauty center, and some article reading.

Maybe you are reference to the first generation of IPL and the crystal microdermabrasion.

Like myself, i only went for 2 IPL treatment, it have clear almost 80% of my freckles, which was with me more than 40 years.

Intend to go for 3rd treatment to clear all, but my doctor very kind and advice me not to waste $$ on IPL anymore, b'cos the lighten freckle will not absorb much light anymore. Anyway there is no harm if i wish to go for next IPL treatment, as IPL treatment also care for the wrinkle fine line.

Anyway now i have my own microdermabrasion, Diamond peeling myself at home, which only cost me a movie ticket for each treatment and have the same result as i did in clinic, i look 10 year younger.

I did not say the both methods are not gd...what i meant was not to do them too regularly like every wk cos your skin will get thinner and thinner and even more prone to baterica that causes acne when not taken properly for a short period of time...
