Hello,
moving from london to singapore in september I am wondering what kind of activities for kids are available out there.
Our son aged 4, started swimming lessons this year and was about to start music lessons as well. Would like to pursue this once we get there.
Could anybody share his/her experience on kids entertainment / development in singapore?
Regards,
Jag

Plenty to do with a kid in Singapore...
Until recently I had a four year old here and she loved it - I enrolled her in PAP Nursery School and she loved it because she had a lot of friends her age nearby living in the same community - People say enrol your kids in schools for foriegners but I found it better to go the local way...
Had to get a maid at the time as I was working and my soon to be ex-wife was studying - This was good and bad, but was also worth it...
Have fun...
BTW Singapore Zoo is fanatsic for kids his age

There is a really cool rock gym for kids in Kids Inc in Great World City in the River Valley area. A nice cafe beside it and the store also sell toys, books, fashion for kids.

You can try Downtown East situated at Pasir Ris (Most eastern part of Singapore). Lots of activities for children of all ages!

My friend's planning to have her kids study in a local primary school. Which primary school has more chances of entry for expat children?

Yeah I think you have a point TheRat. There is definite concern that Singaporeaness is preserved and the primary school system is where it starts.
