I haven't stayed anywhere except on the northern coast at Palm Springs resort (which is only a small but comfortable hotel on the course with no amenities), and the Nongsa Marina resort which is a very nice place with large pool, beaches and lots of water activities.

I've rented and ridden motorcycles in town(s) but have no idea what's good for hotels or massage... I get my massages at the golf club.

Let me know what you choose, and do let us all know how it was... might learn something.

depends on ur requirement, if u want luxury, turi beach is the best

i myself strongly recommend harris.
It's much better than other hotels which claim themselves to be 5 stars. The Harris is really spacious, flat tv (14"), harris channel movie (all new movies)... esp the staff there, extremely friendly and well trained, all of ur reasonable requests will be satisfied.

Last time i went there @ 9am, but they allow me to check in early (supposed to be 12noon), and when i leave, i also check out late (2pm).

now they got promotion 1 for 1, i don't remember the weekend rate, but it's just a bit more expensive then weekday rate:
- $58/person/night (incl breakfast)
- 1 FREE night (room only)
- the 2nd night come with compulsory breakfast $12
that package including: ferry, 1 lunch, 2 night stay, hotel transfer...

so last time i bought the package: $58+$12 breakfast + $12 city tour + $30 spa (1 for 1 promotion, 2 for $60 so per person is $30) = $112, including nearly everything incl arometherapy spa (i also added $5/ 2 person to get the private jacuzzi with herbal bath), just need to pay for my dinner (btw, the pizza there is quite nice).

the city tour is quite worth for money, with only $12, they take u around batam (although there's nothing to see :D), have seafood lunch (price included), but not really for fussy ppl as the restaurant is kelong, not so nice & hot
