Kids Schooling.

Post by MoU » Thu, 10 Jun 2004 10:10 pm

Hi everyone,

I have two kids, 7 and 3 years old. We are planning to move to Singapore. Does any of you have any idea how much is the cost for kids schooling, local and international?

Thanks in advance

Gosh, it seems that everyone and his mum are coming to Singapore right now ;-)

Well, the more, the merrier. Let's relive the glory days. Majulah Singapura!

MoU, I'm not sure about the specifics, but it ain't cheap, least of all the international ones. I spent 4 years at UWC and it cost my dad's employer a medium-sized fortune.

Of course I don't know your financial status or your scholastic wishes for your kids. But I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Although, in hindsight I think it would 've been good for me to do a year, maybe even 2, at a local school. It would 've improved my grades for a start. Local kids seem to be so studious.

Also, the International Schools tend to be enclaves of well-to-do people within the real Singapore, not a true reflection of life.

Okay, not the numbers you asked for, but I hope it's useful info anyway.

Welcome. Good luck!
