Post by not sure... » Tue, 10 May 2005 8:33 pm

Hi, I need some help...It's my best friend's birthday next month and I want to get them a an iPod mini or MP3 player.

I have an normal iPod which I love, only problem I find it a pain to run with. My friend wants it to work out with but not sure which would be best...

can you tell me the difference? I've never used a MP3 player so not sure of the features...

THANK YOU!!!

How about other MP3 players in the market? E.g. Some of the Korean/China brands. See some of them around...any idea what's the difference? Can they also play all the abovementioned formats?

If possible do not buy the made in China MP3, I bought 1 not even 6 months, hangs a few times and now sent to China repairing. Not worthy though price is cheap!

Got an iShuffle for a a few weeks now and real happy with it. Store my music collection libary on my pc and back up into external disk. Created folders for the 100 odd songs that I wanted to heard on the go, plu into UBS sync up and charge same time. Power last about 9 hours charge by placing into USB port. So light and cool. Now I am never with my ishuffle. Highly recommended

ishuffle is a damn cheapo product. If I were you, i'd save up and buy the ipod.

I would buy neither. Apple's products are overhyped. i would get a Creative or iRiver product. Twice the battery life of the apple, No need to convert using iTunes, radio and direct-to-mp3 voice recording.

Just buy creative's, support local brands.
