A question for Employment Pass and Dependant pass

Post by fvillion » Sun, 08 May 2005 12:41 pm

Hi, there, I am going to work at National University of Singpore for a year. My wife hopes to do some research in Singapore, but she has no position. I'm thinking getting her a Dependant pass, but is there any other way for her to get some other type of Pass that allows her to do research there?

Any information is appreciated.

Dependant pass is Ok, reasearch paid or unpaid. If it is a paid job, then she would have to have the employment pass, but this is a formality after you get the DP

if it's a paying research..then after the DP (Dependent's Pass) you can get her a LOC (Letter of Consent) to work...but this will need to be sponsored c/o the employer..

but as said if it's a non-paying research then no problem..just use the DP..
