Last time I came into Singapore (by bus from KL) my passpore was stamped with a social visit valid for 90 days this was on the 8th October 2004. I am an Australian citizen and the person I was travelling with was canadian. he asked for a longer period then they normally give to look for work and it was granted for both of us on the spot by the dude at immagration at teh malay/Singapore border in the normal queue for crossing over and written in pen as per the days allowed.
Is it still like this?? Has any asked for longer and it has worked recently?
