This place has one of the lowest BYO charges in town - $10 per bottle. Starters were around $15, mains $20-25. The food was excellent. We had the tasting menu (not listed so ask), and the highlights were the various starters and the dessert of Varholna chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream.

Had the following wines (BYO) - 1984 Leonay Eden Valley Riesling (wonderful aged riesling with easily another 10 years to go) and a 1991 Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon (drinking at its peak).

Service was friendly and unpretentious. Highly recommended.

94 Amoy Street, Tel 62231266

IMHO any restaurant that charges a reasonable corkage deserves more support.

Cheers
