If you like bowling, you can join Allibert's Friday bowling gathering. I joined once, it's a very nice group.

scuba diving? try "Dive Atlantis" Excellent instructors. Singapore's the best place where you can get around. Been to Pulau Aur, trust be you never get something like that anywhere. Pulau Sibu, don't even have to dive, just snorkel and you'll be lost in what the underwater could offer. Tioman, nice, seen sharks everytime, worth it. Pulau Rawa, nice clear water, good food, small resort. Go to the more rustic one for the food. Redang, very very very commercialised.
Johore, try horse back riding, check out "Rider's Lodge" offer good deal. Thialand, not very sure after Tsunami but hate Phuket, enjoyed Phi Phi, beautiful Chang Mia a "must go" place.
Of course not to mention water sports in Bintan.

There's are lots to do here, don't worry of getting bored.
