Answer Strong Eagles' questions as well as considering...
Single or family with children? Planning on more children?? Level of insurance--single room or ward in hospital? Do you want ot be covered only in Singapore or in other countries if traveling? Does your place of work cover you?

Hubby was covered, but family was not. We have 2 teens and myself to cover. Recently paid abt. $2500(per year) for international insurance--executive plan without maternity. Plan would not cover asthma or thyroid.

At least that gives you some idea.

few more items:
1) Age
2) Sex
3) Sum insured
4) Occupation

All these will result in different premiums.....

Thanks for the replies. I am a USC considering to relocate to Singapore (not on a loaded expat package). I guess I will have an EP for now. My family includes a wife and two kids with ages 8 and 3. My wife would kill me if we have more kids (maybe I should change the topic to life insurance - just kidding!!)

Maybe coming from the U.S., I am more paranoid about medical insurance. However, as I analyze cost of living in Singapore, I need to get a rough estimate for medical costs/premiums etc for an above avergae decent coverage. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers,

Hi,

just a quick note -

The premium may be different due to different coverage like if it includes certain situation or outpatient medical services. Also if there is sub-class limit. I know that there's one insurance that only has annual limit while others has sub-class limit like limit for board room, operation, post-op, etc.

Thus, different coverage will have different premium. If you need the details of the coverage or premium, feel free to email me.

Thanks.
