I'm thinking about a move to Singapore with my husband and 17 month old daughter. I know it gets hot and humid - does this make it difficult to take children outside to the parks, zoos etc? What are the good things to do with kids at the weekend?
I've also just found out i'm pregnant again - is the ante-natal care good and can anyone recommend a good hospital and doctor to deliver the baby? Any good paediatricians for my 17 month old?
Thanks, Clare.

Baby questions
hi there! i am a local... and yeah is pretty much summer here most of the time. Zoo...the park..the botanical gardens are very much family oriented places. Do dress light and bring along an umbrella..
Well i don't think the weather is a put off when visiting these places. Rain would really dampen the mood. U can bring the kids to the beach as well. There are some parks that are near the beaches ...makes an ideal family outing
Libraries are also open during the weekend.. there are story telling sessions too.
oh.congrats to your pregnacy
there are many private hospitals in spore. One would be geneagles that is located in town. there are many established and well known gynes.

oh.congrats to your pregnacy

hi there, i would recommend an excellent paediatric clinic:
MP NG PAEDIATRIC & CARDIOLOGIY CLINIC
3 Mount Elizabeth #11-03 Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre
Singapore 228510 Tel 67387873
my twing 23 months old babies are beeing followed there
about the weather, it can get really hot and humid, especially around May, and I wouldn't recomment you move here during that month, probalby the most humid month of the year in Singapore. i find it's ok to bring my babies out early in the morning, and after 0430 pm. even with an umbrella, water spray and sun block, it's just too hot out there. unless you hide in air conditionned shopping malls, but nothing nice for the little ones. other than that, sure there are plenty of things that will make your life and your babies' very interesting here. a good and safe place to raise your little ones.
