part time maid
Hi all,
I am also a new comer to singapore. we live near Orchard - clsoe to stevens RD. Also very much interested in finding out about part time maid for cleaning/laundry/cooking etc. No kids at home so may about 3-4 hrs twice aweek. I went to few agencies in Lucky Palza and Far East Plaza but these agengies fet maids for liven-in/full time postions not part time. I had heard sp much about this "luxury" in Singapore but now I am wondering if I were be able to enjoy this "luxury".
Any help??

kimm I am just trying to provide useful information - isn't that what this forum is for?
I apologise if I have caused any offence but I don't see anything wrong with recommending services to others if I'm a happy customer. I've done this for housekeepers, cake shops, eye doctors. If you read a book or watched a movie and really enjoyed it, wouldn't you recommend it to others? That's all I'm doing really.

in any case i do not see anything wrong with recommending a company or a product that i have personally tried and am satisfied with. i am trying to help others on the forum by providing this information and i won't stop doing it just because you tell me to - since when did you become the resident censor?
by the way, the arrangement you are suggesting is illegal and it could potentially land others in trouble. not really stuff that should be done on a public forum like this one IMHO. you don't see people selling pirated vcds here even though 'everyone buys them'. why not? because it is illegal, simple as that. a full time maid working for someone else 'part time' other than her own employer is illegal as well.

You own the company or what ???superfurryanimal wrote:Try this company
www.XXXXXXXhousekeeping.com
They provide excellent service and their rates are the most competitive in the market - they actually provide a guarantee that if you can find anyone else who provides such a service at lower cost, they will refund you the difference.

I train workers on domestic housekeeping. From my 10 years as a trainer, only % or less make the marks even after months of training. The ones who are good ended up getting a high salary. and we are talking of like S$15 an hour at least.
NTUC used to operate at S$180 a month. They ended up closing down too hahahahahh.
