Social service in singapore ?

Postby Raven » Tue, 19 Apr 2005 11:16 am

Hi guys&gals

Landed in Singapore a few months back and somehow seem to have spare time during the weekends.

Can somebody enlighten me about the social service scene in Singapore.
What are the different possibilities I have, any organizations I can contact anybody would like to share his or her experience ??

Would appreciate help.

There are many opportunities for you to volunteer your services, such as with the

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

Riding for the Disabled Association

National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) ... spore.html

National Council of Social Services
and ask about the different organisations where they need volunteers and see which one fit you best.

Singapore Red Cross Adult Volunteer Division (AVD)

Singapore Kindness Movement

You could also be a volunteer guide at the
Singapore Zoo
Singapore Museum
and so on.
