I got a big problem after i did heel spur surgery and plantar fasciitis endoscopic release surgery at sgh on 26 November 2025.
On 31 December 2025 i went back to see the surgeon dr li zong xian. I told him my heel still feel very pain and i want to do a ultrasound scan or mri to confirm that everything is normal. Dr li says its too early to do a scan and tell me to go back to see him on 6 march 2026 together with a otc lab appointment. The otc lab appointment is just to ask how is my pain from a scale of 1 to 10 etc.
On 7 january 2026 i went to changi hospital to see another orthopaedic for another opinion. She just brush it off saying its common to still have pain at 6th week after surgery. She just say if there is a need for a scan i can go back to sgh for it.
Today 23 January i went to sgh to see another orthopaedic dr krizhen. Dr krizhen just say dr li is his colleague so he cannot overide him. Dr krizhen say cancel today's appointment so i don't need to pay and they will fix another appointment for me to see dr li zong xian next week.
I called sgh feedback about this. I told him what had happen.
Me: it seems that dr li don't want to do anything about it when i see him telling him i still feel very pain. Can you arrange for me to see another orthopaedic doctor.
Sgh feedback: if you want to see another doctor you need to upgrade to be private patient than you can choose which doctor you want to see
Me: but if i upgrade to private patient. What if the doctor again say the same crap that he don't want to see me and tell me go back to see dr li zong xian again.
Sgh feedback: this i cannot advise on. How about i inform dr li first to see if he can arrange for a scan asap. We will take 5 to 10 working days to get back to you.
1 hour later, i receive a sms saying my sgh orthopedic is still on 6 march.
I called the appointment hotline.
Hotline: i know what happen when you go to see dr krizhen toay. But dr li says he wants you to go for the otc lab appointment 1st.
Me: in that case you can tell me next week when is dr li free so i can call otc lab to change appointment on the same day.
Than the hotline finally change my appointment to 29 january.
I called the sgh feedback again. This time is answer by a girl. After asking for my name and nric. She say there is no records of my previous feedback.
Me: so you all don't record the feedback in your system? Everytime we call you we need to repeat the entire story?
She: we got record in the system. But if you just call only. Maybe we haven't key into the system. Than we need to go ask around to find out who spoke to you just now.
Me: i called 2 hours ago.
She: ok i think you just repeat your story.
So i repeated the story again.
Me: next thursday i am going to see dr li zong xian again. But i got a feeling that he is not going to do anything about it. In that case, can you feedback to your head of orthopaedic?
She: oh no we can't do that. Because you are seeing him.
Me: so if dr li doesn't want to do anything when i see him next thursday. I call you all you also don't want to do anything?
She: next thursday when you see dr li. You tell him your concerns like what you tell me now. That you still feel pain, you want to do a scan to check on it and you see dr krizhen but he tell you to go back to see dr li.
I am really at my wits end.
Even if i go to polyclinic to get a referal to see another orthopaedic doctor at another hospital such as ttsh etc. What if they also behave like the changi hospital orthopaedic doctor that i saw on 7 january. They might just tell me to go back sgh to see dr li again.
What options do i have now?
Is my only option now to go to gleaneagles or mouth elizabeth hospital to see a private orthopaedic specialist?
