Singapore is very user-friendly, you won’t have any difficulties. And, it’s not the high cost of living… it’s the cost of living high.
When I first moved to SG and rented a room, took the bus and ate hawker food… I did not spend more, I just got less for my money. Having school aged kids, having your own apartment, owning a car, having a western diet or high taste… all unaffordable luxuries.
