if he already has everything, why not do an outing...like grand prix race if he likes cars, a concert if he likes music, or golf outing if he is into golf...

hmmm.. that's a hard one. And you know, everyone's taste is different. All of the gifts you mentioned you bought him, I personally wouldn't want myself, but that's just me.

I think I heard a saying once, that men are like boys,.. only their toys get bigger. ...

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't mind a playstation :P~ (and I'm 33, btw)

I'm not sure if Singapore has these, but in other countries you can purchase "mystery flights" ,.. which can be interesting, ......esp if you end up in antarctica.

more ideas

Post by Wham » Fri, 22 Apr 2005 10:04 am

ok, if I am a few years older, but at 30 this is what i wanted:

1) a long weekend to Kota Kinabalu - can be fairly reasonable. You both stay at the Shangri-la and he (and you also if you want) gets to climb the mtn on an overnight trip - very memorable
2) a diving trip with lessons if he doesn't know how yet
3) Sailing weekend off of Phuket (sunsail runs trips on 35 foot sloops)
4) hang gliding up in malaysia - can find on the internet
5) some good wine and maybe cigars - or possibly a wine course. Make it fun, for example 6 different bottles and a book on wine.

skip - watches, ties, socks, CLOTHES OF ANY SORT and MUSIC. These are things it sounds like he either has enough of or doesn't need your help buying.

telescope

oh - and as for the telescope - you must be KIDDING! Stop thinking about what YOU THINK he might want and start thinking about what HE WANTS. There is a subtle but very real difference.

Hello Lis,

It seemed that what you had given to yr hubby those things - they are normally the common personal things one have in life.

But, at this age of 30 like yr hubby, not necessary one reach this age even at every level of age, we should build-up health awareness among ourselves. And keep ourselves from any sickness.

I think yr hubby will definitely be happy if you would say to him that you want to sign up for him a yoga class (I can recommend you one yoga place taught by an Australian-born person - she is a founder of this yoga place besides having a food business in organic & vegetarian cafe & related bookstore). Both of you could register together and make friends with those participants whom are health-conscious. Their prices for yoga classes are reasonable.

Love for our loved ones is not giving expensive items, but shower our loved ones with tender care in terms of healthy concern. In this way also, we make ourselves fit & healthy always prior to healthy food consumption & good exercise.

Do contact me personally if you need my advice. Till now, have a good day ahead! My email address is [email protected] .

Bye! Lis.

Be with him!

Get him a nice birthday card in an envelope with a coupon that grants him a wish good for just one day! Also don't forget to put in some money for him to get you some flowers as well.
He will think of a good use for that with a lot of smile on his face and be more than glad to get you the flowers willingly!

That will make two people happy together.

Just a thought....
