LGBT+ lifestyle for a professional

Post by hugo.cagi » Tue, 19 Aug 2025 2:56 pm

Hi, I am considering relocating to Singapore to widen my career options and wondering if I could get some advice on what is like for a single gay man to enjoy a good lifestyle in Singapore - all within the acceptance and legality of the country, of course. Is it easy to meet other LGBT+ people living in Singapore? Other expats also? Any advice is welcomed. Thank you in advance.

Why Singapore? Do you already have the right of abode here? If not, you need to put the horse in front of the cart (homosexual or otherwise) and figure out how you’ll get here in the first place.

Are you a Singapore citizen or PR? No? Then, are you working for an MNC with offices in Singapore and willing to transfer you to Singapore? No? Then your chances of working in Singapore are very small, virtually zero. Figure this piece out then deal with other issues.
