Hi can the kind people let me know what is my chance of getting LTVP for my husband and son?
A little bIt of background about myself. I am 35f Indonesian chinese who has been PR since 2009.
Married my husband 36m British causcasian back in 2020 while he was working on epass. He then got LTVP from 2022 till 2024. We left the country in july 2024 as he was pursuing a post grad (PGCE) in UK for a year.
I decided on having 1 year sabbatical and go with him to the UK while working on freelance for abit (no cpf contribution the past year).
The plan was always to come back to Sg once he finished his post grad (which he just recently completed) but then along the way i got pregnant and our son is born recently in june. Which makes moving back to sg not as straightforward as before considering logistic etc.
If without my son I can go back to sg first, secure a job again and reapply my hubby's ltvp while he is in the UK.
However, now I cant imagine leaving my son and hubby to apply their LTVP from singapore.
Is there any chance I can apply it from UK?
I know i am currently unemployed but planning to work again as soon as my son hit 6months (in january).
I work in architecture industry and was drawing 6k/month. My husband is a teacher in english enrichment center and was drawing 5.8k/month pripr our departure in july 2024.
To mitigate the lack of employment letter we are planning to include letter of offer from our previous workplace. As they are happy to offer us our employment back in few months time. As well as our savings.
If everything goes according to plan, I will then apply for citizenship with my son to establish desire of sinking roots here and let my husband applied for PR at the same time (He applied before but got rejected).
Anyone know if we stand the chance to get tje LTVP from UK? I have explored d few posts here and they said i can only applied from singapore? and my husband and son has to be physically present in Singapore? Some unemployed SC applicants also mentioned they managed to apply LTVP for their foreigner husband, but i know i am not in the same boat as I am only a PR.
Any suggestion is welcomed. Thanks in advance.
