You need to give more info, like income level for both you and your spouse, as well as your spouse's educational and professional details. Anyway, if somebody is not from the preferred race, the chance is automatically low. But it does not hurt to try. There is still a chance.

I would encourage your wife to find some work. The wife not working is a minus on the application. Having said that, there is no harm trying except for the application fee if you dont mind.

can you stop spreading bullshit please. No one knows if wife not working is minus or plus, plenty of people get PR with wife staying home. You don't even have a PR.

How do you know the poster doesn't have PR? Or Citizenship for that matter? For only having two posts, you are walking on thin ice.

the guy complains about not getting PR in so many posts in this group. How about asking him to not spread misinformation, isn't this your job?
You are without the doubt the most unhelpful, bitter old mod I have ever seen this in forum. I have been on this forum for years and I never seen any topic that you are any help to the posters unlike most of other mods.

Well I felt the urge to reply because nobody was replying him. About the part that wife not working being a disadvantage, isn't that obvious? If one applies for PR based on the merit scheme, the government will look at how much they can contribute to the nation (apart from "integration points" like ethnicity ofc). So if one is not working, isnt it obviously a minus point? Even if the poster is the main applicant, he has to fill in details of his dependent as well. Now with the new PR application platform, they also ask for the spouse's educational background, occupation and salary. I dont think I was spreading misinfo by stating the obvious.

And about "plenty of people get PR with wife staying at home", are their situations same as him in terms of ethnicity, education and salary? If all else being equal, dont you think the wife's details matter to ICA? We're here trying to help one another maximizing our chance here brother. I still encouraged him to apply also.

Look at “firm related attributes” which only the company itself will be able to assess.
