Take note of this new scam call, they greet you by your name and tells you they are from NTUC...well many red flags so I hung up. Some may not be careful and accidentally divulge personal information.

Gen X no longer answer the call with a greeting. I'm going the same way.
I not lawyer/teacher/CPA.
You've been arrested? Law Society of Singapore can provide referrals.
You want an International School job? School website or
http://www.ISS.edu
Your rugrat needs a School? Avoid for profit schools
You need Tax advice? Ask a CPA
You ran away without doing NS? Shame on you!

I don't know how far along they are with cloning voices, but I'm not going to be one of their first victims. So I pick up all unknown number calls in silence, wait for them to speak. They're calling me, so tell me what you want. If nothing in a couple of seconds, I hang up.
Mostly, it's no loss, since the majority of these calls it's some PRC lady in a helpdesk or a recording of some PRC lady.

Yep. Voiceprint is used by my Aussie bank for large transfer approvals so I'm esp careful.

I started doing that back when we first went into lockdown for Covid. Still do it without fail.

And speak as little as possible and avoid saying Ýes'' cos that's the word they want to capture.
