Citizenship pink IC collection

Post by kianjin86 » Thu, 12 Jun 2025 11:37 pm

Hi,
i have done my formality in Jan. I got to know from various blog or sharing sources that the pink IC will be given during the ceremony together with the certification. is that the same process now in 2025?
i am still holding the IC temporary slip and actually is also waiting for the ICA to notify me for IC collection.
The status in myICA is still showing application has been submitted as of today, it is about 5 months already. so i am just waiting for it.
The temporary slip also stated if the IC is not collected within 3 months from the issued date, it will be destroyed.

Should i book the appointment to collect the IC at singpost?
or do i need to redo the IC?

You are supposed to arrange for collection of your IC (and passport) yourself from the post office via the SingPass app within, I think, the first month of completing formalities and swearing the oath of allegiance. The only thing you will get at the citizenship ceremony is your Certificate of Citizenship.

I collected my IC and passport (you have to apply for each separately) from the post office less than a week after I competed the formalities.

I strongly advise that you call ICA immediately (their contact details are at the bottom of the ICA website) and explain your situation. Ask them you talk you through the next steps. I am not sure that your temporary IC slip is even valid any more.

You need to settle this straight away.
